A father’s day gift from Labor and the Greens: increased Fatherlessness

Press Release: 2nd September, 2011
Virtually every major social pathology has been linked to fatherlessness: violent crime, drug and alcohol abuse, truancy, teen pregnancy, suicide â all correlate more strongly to fatherlessness than to any other single factor.
The majority of prisoners, juvenile detention inmates, high school dropouts, pregnant teenagers, adolescent murderers and rapists all come from fatherless homes. The connection is so strong that controlling for fatherlessness erases the relationships between race and crime and between low income and crime.
Many commentators, including the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, have laid the blame for the recent UK riots at least partially on the fact that many of the rioters were raised in homes without their fathers present.
Menâs Health Australia spokesman Greg Andresen said today, âThe Labor government is set to pass a bill over the coming weeks that will raise already high levels of fatherlessness to record levels with untold impact not just on vulnerable children denied the right to see their fathers; not just on fathers who will most likely end up depressed and suicidal after being denied the right to see their children; but on the greater fabric of Australian society.â
Mr Andresen went on to say that the Family Law Legislation Amendment (Family Violence and Other Measures) Bill 2011, if passed in its current form, would:
- increase child homicide rates (in NSW child homicide had reduced by almost 50% since the introduction of the soon to be reversed 2006 reforms)
- give an open license to parents â mostly mothers â who wish to fabricate allegations of violence and abuse as a legal strategy to remove fathers from their childrenâs lives (by removing the penalties available for the court to discourage false allegations)
- facilitate the practice of parental alienation, whereby one parent â mostly mothers â alienates the child(ren) from the other parent (by removing the lawâs âfriendly parentâ provisions)
- facilitate and reward family violence by increasing the serious social abuse of denying children and one of their parents the right to a relationship
- fail to protect children from abuse and neglect by defining only âseriousâ psychological harm or neglect as being against the law
- increase litigation and costs for separating families and taxpayers (the soon to be reversed 2006 Family Law changes had led to a 20% reduction in litigation).
The message from the Labor/Green government to fathers and children this fatherâs day is clear: your relationship doesnât matter. Happy fatherâs day!

Thanks guys for your interest, re suicidal thoughts dont mistake me my intention is NOT suicide, I get the feeling some seem to think I am actually considering it, I am NOT into ending it all & if I was I say;
to anyone telling me it’s this it’s that! Selfish LOL That’s not good psychology, please consider being very careful giving any kind of advice to anyone talking suicide, consider simply saying “I hear yu” If in fact you do &; just LISTENING to people expressing suicide is mostly the best, add giving referal to crisis care or like with actual numbers/links etc.
I have a simple thing I say to myself that keeps me alive “I’m NOT better off dead”. I just accept the thoughts exist as they do, from time to time they are prominant but mostly just sighing moments where finding strength can be very hard.
Living good to impress feelings of whatever for who the hell cares sorry mate but LOL I like some things GG said/says & one of them I love is “any man who needs a woman is no man a woman needs” or words to that effect, I think I just might have polished her turd!
Can’t be bothered quoting a woman correctly LOL &&& I couldn’t care for any woman who has ANY designs on a man. Excepting if they want a man for to scratch an itch for fun and not part of some psyco plot of enslavement to a C$A cheque.
I am NOT suggesting abstainance or zero procreation. I am simply suggesting informing our boys so THEY HAVE CHOICE. Women LIKE choice they understand subjegation & the sufferagette. SO LET IT BE GIVEN forth with mirth – a pamphlet or like MADE BY MEN for MEN giving advice to young men about the LAWS they face if they intend to take on a relationship with procreation a possibility let alone the legally dangerous downfalls of living with women.
I push the banner of education for young men this is the logic;
1 The young men are ENLIGHTENED & given CHOICE about their bodies. Women DEMAND choice with ALL matters why would they deny young men enlightenment giving CHOICE. This is something that should demand FUNDING under an umbrella of I dunno hows NOW (brown cow LOL). As I have been told umpteen times from Womens groups when I have voiced equality for mens organisations “But we’re here for men too, men too can use what women have built EQUALLY” I plan to test their metal a bit. I’d like to get something printed on a government funded application. Such a small task really LOL.
2 Womens groups get pissed and nasty or they help us LOL just joking. The civil service is TOTALLY feminised but cracking LOL. I hope speckling my post with occasional vergeena jokes wont get me banned.
3 Young men deserve the truth about the LAWS they face. We had no idea… don’t let it be the same for them.
4 There are many aspects to our situation & generally I feel we have difficulty affecting any big changes. None the less F4E does an enormous job tackling legislations. But there are within the HUGE problem small things we can affect one small thing is education (LOL is education a small thing? In comparison to family law… well yes lol). Use any means! Just DO IT! Pamphlets Handouts Posters Jump into already existing events & opertunities. Much like “The Country Womens Association”.
5 We design an information handout with language that clarifies LAW in street talk to young men, it’s something we can ACT on giving us strength that we do physical things WITHIN the LAW. We can disperse government funded pamphlets to ALL points of contact for young men. ROLL it on THICK.
SUM: people WILL get the message if they get THE FACTS. Young men might slow pop. growth; Government might take notice. Just the thought that this may be a goal for men will ruffle shirts. It’ll be fun, well I can’t promise the fun part LOL Not unless you’re certifiable like me.

Dan,Your dad’s words are wise. And what you are advocating sounds similar to how some sub-tropical tribesmen prepare their boys for manhood. That balance (male/female) has worked for centuries in some cultures, its only the last 40 something years of western society that has gone to pot because the pendulum has swung too far too quick.

Yeh I know, discipline, like the high ground, but you know what I’ve found? The high ground is still dirt. I just do th lols for my depression, selfish really LOL.
I know this is going to sound pesimistic but I have always heard a lot of drum beating about human rights; me myself being a big one on drumming lol (am a drummer… explains a lot eh lol). BUT has it got us anywhere? YES it is THE argument human civil rights but is it the answer?
Over my years of involvement in this process and about a year moderating fathers4equality back in 2005-6 I have come to a simple thought; education. Cure vs what? The law is on lawyers strings and ours only for the begging. But what actual power do we have? Besides the vote! The power of educating our gender just as the women have done to extraordinary effect since the 60′s and before they have had the head start on educating their gender we MUST get on with it.
But we wont educate men to screw women quite the reverse. We should educate young men to be VERY wary if not to totally abstain from child baring relationships until the law is fair. If I had known what may have been to come I assure you all I would have put in safe gaurds and even considered not having kids at all. We don’t ‘have’ to have kids, we don’t ‘have’ to have relationships; it’s women who tell us we should! It’s women who have judged us on how many relations we have with women, not enough; you’re a reject too much and your a leer just right and you’re a homo. It’s never good enough and thats the way it goes in this replaceable societal outlook.
The truth is that what is fast approaching is zero gender requirement, the turkey baster rules, men are redundant in womens eyes so I believe our best defense is to WITHDRAW accross the community. Just don’t do for women AT ALL!
I call for a national office for the status of men equal to womens NOW we should equally have NOM. We must be the educators of our gender and show them their true strength in governing this country. Children! Without them our system crumbles ever reliant on growth even a small change in the number of children will have a massive demonstrative affect. Past and present governments pay women to conceive how would it be if men simply said NO!? Until the law is fair.
I know that many may think men cant control their dicks but that is actually UNTESTED stereotyping! I believe that if we educate our young men simply in the FACTS that we can accertain and advise where the facts have been hidden. We must show men that having children now is such a high risk to them and the children they have.
I think this path will definately open discussion with government as this is the aspect they can NOT control, education by piers, family & friends. Showing that under our present laws happy families is a lie and only has intent to drag more men into the debt slave traps.
Our problem I believe is being too short sighted; trying for resolve beyond proving it is nessessary. I have felt the angst of wanting immediate resolve as we all have but it is not the path.
We all know in hindsight it is nessessary but did we know before we became excluded parents? I answer no. I personally had an incling but not that my human rights to be with my own offspring would be so disregarded, ignored and even villified for begging it.
I am asking for support educating our gender.
I have C4 in youth work, C4 in community work, C4 in Training & Assessment, C4 in Language Literacy & Numeracy T&A. I want to use my skills to teach young men of the pitfalls in raising children in Australia. I ask all to do the same. Teach our gender to avoid having children until the law is changed to equality. I see this as our genders best hope as all I have read and seen is that we are held in contempt by the court, hated by womens infrastructure and shunned by the police meant to protect us.
Our chance will only be in educating our gender, the young men who follow us into this what is in DEED a war. Our boys are dying left right & centre I’ve seen it as you have & tasted what turns a man mad. The one thing I despise in my life is that NO ONE warned me! My dad knew & he didn’t warn me, my cousin who went through losing his child didn’t warn me, it was all hush hush when I were a lad. We were told not to talk about it. This is what I want to change if I can & if I cant then at least make a start and join with as many as possible to get it moving.
If you’d like to I am into being creative not unlike the F4J men. This is NOT to say that I don’t admire the political acts of F4E; the F4E work is integral. I have some ideas big and small but I’d love to get together with a bunch of brainstormers who want to tackle educating our gender. Drop me a line if you’re interested. Cheez from DanO

Hey Dan,
I remember those days in f4e when you moderated and I remember your story. There’s been a lot bad ones like yours since then too.
Mate, I completely agree with what you have said in this article. I have already been talking to my sons, educating them about the possible behaviours of the females they may meet. I am trying to get them to question everything and to be critical of the games females of all ages play. To think critically!
I’m telling my boys that they don’t have to play this game. They don’t have to spend all their money feting a female. Indeed they can ask the female to pay her own way and if she doesn’t like it, then she is probably a user and they should move on.
Women today, and yes Ash this is a general statement about women, demand to be treated in a more privileged manner than men are, but they still also demand that men pay their way.
There are not many females in this country who have not been given a sense of entitlement over males, as they have been growing up into adulthood. All our schools have done this, the media and the mothers of these girls have fed it at home. The fathers have been in the same place as most fathers are in society now.
MISSING IN ACTION!
Men have been hit hard over the last 30 years that they are in shock and have withdrawn, not knowing what to do. Well, your suggestion is a good place to start.
We need to get a formal men’s organisation going that is not far left or right and is playing the game fairly, so that we are not so easily dismissed as a bunch of idiots. We need to make sure we DO NOT create an organistion that is or can be seen as existing in opposition to the women’s groups or feminism itself. If we do, we will be summarily dismissed and laughed at.
Yes, we will need to pull some radical stunts to get men and society to sit up and take note, but in general, I believe the ‘education of men/boys’ is about the best way we can go.
Whether we educate boys to fully retract from females or from simply having children, only time will tell. Just getting men to join a group will be a monumental effort and achievement. For a start, how the hell do we get the word out, when there is a total media blackout in this country with anything to do with fathers/mens groups?
I do believe we can easily achieve the education of boys and men of the pitfals of getting involved with females, by simply starting with family members. We can let them know of all the good things and all the bad things, so that they can then go into a relationship or refrain, while being fully informed.
But there is one thing I am dead certain we should be teaching our boys, which is one thing I am teaching my sons, and that is to abstain from sex until they have dated the same woman for a very long time so they can get to know this female and hopefully see if she is worthy of you and any other parts of you.
Men have been stupid over the issue of sex. Women have been able to control men for eons, simply by using the POTP (the first letter of each word. work it out boys,.) Many men need to grow up and stop giving women the opportunity to manipulate them using sex as their method.
We are not mindless, brainless idiots who are out of control. For every dickhead male there’s a dickhead female. I do not believe there is any difference in good and evil between the sexes.
However, there are many behaviours and abuses that ARE gender specific. We have been suffering in family law under some of the abuses that women will perpetrate that men or most men, will probably never commit. Yet, we are all here today because of the gender specific abuses of men against women during the centuries of the past. No one is blameless!
So Dan, I say I am interested and that I would like to know more.
I would also say that in our endeavour to take back our power and strength, we focus on that one thing that resonates throughout your post, which is ‘equality’ and we don’t lose sight of it.

Nah Mate, I’m no troll.
I have been married twice. The first kids I lost 24 years ago and still do not have a relationship with them. The second marriage was busted up by a vicious abuser of me and our children, who used the usual AVO lies and false allegations of DV and child abuse.
I hope that allows me the right to comment here!
My comments regarding men “missing in action”, was deliberately general and meant to get people to think. Just look at the facts.
Men, in general I mean, have been missing in action with regard the issue of our role in society, because over the past 30 odd years we have been under attack – villified for the very reason of being a man or male.
So, men have retreated and pulled back, while women, in general that is, have filled in a lot of the gaps made by retreating men.
And no, I do not mean this in specific cases. The only reason my children from my second marriage are able to have me in their lives, is mostly because I never retreated and I stayed in their lives. Much to the full-on anger and hatred of the ex, but she will just have to get over herself. I am now the primary carer of these teenagers and if push came to shove, they would leave their mother for good to live fulltime with me.
I had no choice with the two children from the first marriage. That woman took off to the bush and I had no money. She effectively alienated the kids and now from what I have found out of them, they are pretty screwed up. What can I say!
I cannot see anything changing in the future for sometime to come, even if or when we have a change of govt. This nasty feminist who squirmed her way into govt by knifing a fellow party member, then being given the job a second time by other politicians and not by the electorate, will get dumped either before or after the next election.
We will still have these discriminating changes in the family law act and the suffering of many will get worse. I can’t see the next govt having any intention in changing things back, because they aren’t talking about it now. They know it will be an easy win next time, so they won’t need to promise family/fathers groups anything.
I note in the above article where the author uses statements such as, “mostly mothers” who falsely allege and who perpetrate parental alienation etc. Well, I have to tell you that I would like to know of all these cases of the men who do these things and succeed. Because I don’t know of any State or place in this whole country where a man would be not only believed, but taken seriously when making a report about DV and/or child abuse, whether he is telling the truth or lying.
In my opinion, those words “mostly mothers” has to be used as a politically correct statement, so as to not upset too many women in society. If there are any men getting away with these crimes, they must be such a small number that they would barely rate statistically.
It’s time to get real and start pointing the finger at ALL those who commit these crimes, and that includes from politicians all the way down to the mothers who abuse the law and who abuse children and the fathers of their children. These criminals must be punished for what they do. If there were men doing these things, they would be totally banned from the lives of the children or end up in prison.
Heck they put innocent men in prison already, due to the lies of rotten mothers.

I suffered the worst form of alienation that a father of daughters can suffer after my ex left the family home in the week after the 2006 reforms were passed. All of my actions were honerable, before and after separation.
I had disciplined my daughter for swearing and my wife contradicted my proper action and words in front of our tween daughter. The first wedge driven home.
A policeman was summons to my wife’s departure three days later even though he had told her that she hadn’t described any reason for him to attend…She still used police attendence history in her following affidavit.
It’s like we fathers need to carry dictophones or have concrete alibis to counter the false testimony sometimes.
.No wonder child protectors tell aggrieved fathers that their children will judge the circumstances ONE DAY.

Dont count on one day mate, after ten years of separation I am burying my three on saturday (symbolically) I cant go on with the pain anymore. My 3 are teens now they could stick their heads up but they are well intrenched in her hate crime. Its over and I wish I took some advice 11 years ago which was simply to give up. This process has driven me to the point of suicidal intent that I fight daily. I will go on with my protests and with more verve than ever & might I add a careless abandon that I couldn’t have when I hoped for resolve. I go on to fight for my GENDER yes I will say it and damn the women & manginas who try to crush me down! They must be faught and while the restrained amongst us must use the pen gaurded with gentlemanly conduct I however am not so restrained as I NEVER went to the femanistaloco court as I know they will silence any man immediately so as I KNEW my children would be stolen by her intent using the feministaloco I refrained from court so that I could keep my voice at least. This is a sad choice but the feministaloco court is a farce and a gag to them that will to protest. SCREW THE FC!

Danwashere. I am in the same position as you are in Mate. You need to do what you are saying you are going to do. It is the only way to survive.
I have been going for 2 and a half decades without 2 kids and I can tell you that the pain of loss and the grieving is ongoing and never ends, because the kids are not dead. Sad to say, but if there were, we could grieve and move on to remembering the good days.
Your only hope is distraction. You need to get yourself involved with other people and keep busy. You need to forgive yourself and give yourself permission to ‘let go’, because if you don’t it will take you down.
But I must say this to you and you need to take this the right way and not be upset with me.
Suicide is the worst possible thing to do. It almost matches the level of child abuse that the dirty mongrel abusers are using.
They are using parental alienation against many fathers and teaching the children to either hate their fathers or simply disregard them as a person of any importance in their lives. The latter is what happened to me.
Consequently, I have a 29 year old pregnant daughter getting married next Saturday. I found out about this from one of my other children, whom is close to me, who was told via facebook.
And by the way, the mongrel abuser is giving the daughter away in my place. Lots to think about hey!
You need to put yourself into a place where you can keep your head clear and focus on other things. If you go kill yourself, you are removing from this earth the ONLY sane loving caring parent your children have.
That is very selfish and self-centred!
Yes, I hear what you say, but what if when the kids are old enough or at some point in their lives, have a big fall out with the mother and are desperate to find you and re-unite because they now know they were wrong?
What then, if you are already pushing up Daisies?
Your kids will be left without YOU and someone else will have to fill that space, and fill it with bullshit they will.
I have found that if you can be Healthy, Happy and Successful (HHS), then you will be able to live a normal life, but not only that, somehow the kids find out. Also, so does the ex. And you living a great life, is what pisses these mongrels off big time. They hate the fact that you are not down trodden and suicidal. They want you dead!
I have seen some cases where this has occurred and the exes have acted out so badly, that the kids have fled back to the alienated or targeted parent. And this has been cases where the alienating parents have been both men and women.
So Mate, my advice to you is to get over your hurt, get up, dust yourself off, and get the hell out there and make a bloody good life for yourself. And yes, you can to this without huge sums of money, because I know you will be milked by her and the system.
I have had to do this after my second marriage busted up and the abuser tried to alienate the kids.
Now I am living a healthy happy life and for some strange reason, I am the primary carer, because she is an ugly, bitter twisted b…h who only cares about herself and not the kids. But worst of all, she hates the fact that I am happy and living a good life without worrying about her, and that the kids prefer to be with me than her.
And the family court couldn’t do a bloody thing to stop it. She made all the usual false allegations and committed perjury, but the kids still walked. She tried recovery orders, but the slime in the end ruled against her, because I only live a short distance from her and wasn’t going anywhere.
You gotta get real Mate and stand up, puff your chest out and thumb your nose at the abusive mongrel and the house of slime, which is the family – sorry, divorce court.
Have a little Faith and you will do okay!

Dan, I’m in the same boat as you. The ‘black dog’ (and I do also have a jet black Kelpie/Collie) live’s with me the whole time and I too venture to suicidal thoughts every few days…but that’s where it ends, thankfully.
Three good friends (and immediate family) kept me alive in the face of horrible false allegations. And like Paw suggested my ex wanted me dead and she, the Bioethicist, knew exactly how hard I would take the allegation that I, “wanted my daughter to replace my ex-wife in his household” My ex-wife was insanely jealous of my ‘proper’ love of my two daughters.
As for your pregnant daughter: be totally happy for her and her partner because things WILL change. I have heard of women who, when they hold their new-born for the first time, will finally realise what love is and what THEY have put their parent(s) through. Send her a gift, money or nappies, even if it is through her fiance, and don’t expect a reply too soon. She will come around one day.
There is no doubt that ‘crap’ has been part of all our lives. Don’t let this crap be a reason for our deaths, inevitable as it is.. I always say there is someone worse off…look at the refugee camps in east Africa on the news if you’re feeling down.
My younger daughter is pre-pubescent at the moment and she is SOOO testy at times…but she is always appologetic and cannot abandon her, EVER.
You’ll be right Dan..just keep talking and walking the walk.

A good Father’s Day gift would be to reject the Family Law (Family Violence) amendments (Family Violence Bill – FVB), clarify the intent of the Act that if the presumption of shared parental responsibility is satisfied then maximum practicable parenting time is in the best interests of the child, and assure men that family courts will accord them constitutional rights equivalent to those enjoyed by murderers and robbers.
FVB illustrates the hypocrisy of noisy feminist demands that we kowtow to their ideology of gender neutrality, to their claim that there is no difference between male and female, and to their opposition to stereotyping and gender profiling. FVB is based on the proposition that there are, indeed, innate gender differences: men are naturally batterers and women are naturally victims.
FVB is not designed to eliminate or punish violence, but to punish only alleged violence against women. No DV shelters, financed by FVB, will accept men as victims.
FVB has been known from the getgo as “feminist pork” because it puts nearly $tens of millions a year of taxpayers’ money into the hands of the radical feminists without any accountability for how the money is spent. Feminist extemists have set up shop in shelters where they promote divorce, marriage breakup, hatred of men, and false accusations, while rejecting marriage counselling, reconciliation, drug-abuse treatment, and evidence of mutual-partner abuse.
Feminist extremists want to use the Federal law to change state laws to include a loosey-goosey definition of family violence. It doesn’t have to be violent; it can simply be what a man says or how he looks at a woman.
Domestic violence can even be what a woman thinks a man might do or say. Definitions of violence include calling your partner a naughty word, raising your voice, causing “annoyance” or “emotional distress,” or just not doing what your partner wants.
FVB makes taxpayers’ money available to the feminists to lobby state legislators to pass feminist laws, to train law enforcement personnel and judges in using those laws, and to fund their enforcement. FVB provides women with free legal counsel to pursue their allegations while men are left on their own to find and pay a lawyer, or struggle without one.
Feminist extremists have lobbied most states to adopt mandatory-arrest laws, which means that when the police arrive at a disturbance and lack good information on who is to blame, they are nevertheless legally bound to arrest somebody. Three guesses who is usually arrested.
Feminist extremists have lobbied states to pass no-drop prosecution laws which require proceeding with prosecution even if the woman recants her charges or wants to drop them. Studies show that women do recant or ask to drop the charges in 60 percent of criminal allegations, but the law requires the man to be prosecuted anyway, which means he loses his constitutional right to confront his accuser.
Charging family violence practically guarantees that a woman will get custody of the children and sever forever the father’s relationship with his children even though the alleged violence had nothing whatever to do with any abuse of the children. Judges are required to consider allegations of domestic violence in awarding child custody, even though no evidence of abuse was ever presented or proven.
It seems elementary that husbands and fathers who are accused by their wives or girlfriends should have the constitutional rights accorded to any criminal, but they are routinely denied equal treatment under law, the right to a fair trial, the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, and the right to own a gun. The accusation also destroys his employability, which diminishes her income as well as his.
Based on a woman’s unsubstantiated allegations of trivial offenses, family courts deprive thousands of men of their fundamental right to parent their own children. FVB has a built-in incentive for the woman to make false charges of family violence because she knows she will never be prosecuted for perjury.
Family violence should be redefined to mean violence. We must eliminate the incentive for false accusations, which includes getting a restraining order as the “gamesmanship” for divorce, child custody, money, and ownership of and access to the family home.
Reforming the FLA is today’s basic civil rights issue. All persons accused of family violence, men and women, are entitled to have fundamental constitutional rights in court, including due process and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty by clear and convincing evidence.
